While traveling Interstate 40 in central North Carolina one afternoon in early 2003, Rodney Carter and Mike Fleming struck up a conversation about the vast number of trucks on the road and the opportunity for companies to utilize this space for billboard advertisements and promotions. The question was posed, “Why are these companies not taking advantage of their own “built-in” advertising medium while allocating thousands of dollars for other more costly media?”

With prior careers in retail, they each recognized the marketing value of this underutilized rolling “billboard” space. After further researching and analyzing the opportunity in fleet advertising, they launched ProMotion Mobile Media in August of 2003. During the due diligence period, they discovered “flex face” vinyl (framing system) applications. Immediately, they recognized the value and benefits that a flexible, interchangeable system could offer companies versus the typical “one shot” decal application – not only is it less costly but also easier and quicker to install.

Flexpro was introduced in 2004, and continues to be the companies’ primary product line for straight body trucks. However, ProMotion has other graphic advertising products available from cut vinyl lettering to full coverage digital graphics.
